Let me introduce myself! My name is Hurricane Felton. I like to go wheelin', I love going to the desert, I like to weld, I like to work on anything with an engine, and I love the long days and late nights that are required to build cool shit!

I'm always eager to learn something new when the opportunity presents itself. I am primarily a TIG welder. I went to school to learn how to tig weld to give myself a footing in the off road industry. I believe that you need to earn your keep and have integrity, thus, work your way up from the bottom. The end goal was always to get in the driver's seat, but you've gotta earn your way there! If you want to drive the car, you gotta know how to build the car and how to work on the car! Or atleast thats how I think it should work... Though I am currently a proficient tig welder, I aspire to learn more about fabrication in an offroad application.

I think it's important to promote having a good attitude no matter what you are doing. I know a good attitude will take me farther in this life more than most things ever could. You'll always catch me with a smile on my face, having a good time no matter what i'm doing.

About Me

I recently raced the Every Man Challenge at King of the Hammers. I was able to build this 1985 CJ7 with a lot of help from the whole crew at Bent Motorsports. This really aided in my goal to learn more about building cars and fabrication (and racing!).

We took this relatively stock CJ7 and completely gutted it. It actually used to be covered in neon green rhino line... It only took us about a month of chipping and a few visits to the sand blaster to completely remove the green... Wouldn't recommend doing that hahah

Bent motorsports is where I currently work and damn do I feel so grateful for it. Every single member of the team here is a hard worker and willing to help me learn however they can. I love being a part of Bent.

I do plan on racing King of the Hammers aging. Actually, I need to... Now that i've done it once im hooked and there is no going back. This definitely sparked a fire in me that can no longer be put out. I will most likely be passing the torch to another Bent Motorsports crew member in 2025 to ensure everyone gets a shot at driving this immaculate CJ7 we built.

I am hoping to find an opportunity to to race a SXS or possibly in another class in the meantime though...

I've got a few videos about this build process linked below if you'd like to check it out!
